Cortijo de Los Mimbrales is a country manor with almost 1,000 hectares of grounds, situated in the province of Huelva on the border with the Doñana National Park.

The complex also offers a beautiful traditional Arabic pool for your relaxation and a well looked-after lawn for the enjoyment of our guests.

We have meeting rooms, garden patios and covered patios with a capacity for up to 200 people in a unique setting.

Restaurants

Guests can enjoy gastronomic specialities at the La Cantina de Los Mimbrales Restaurant, where our chef Manuel Espinosa prepares delicious dishes such as rice stews with game meat (rice with rabbit and rice with chicken), goose leg in Mimbrales-style orange sauce, Segovia-style sucking lamb, fish from the coast (gilthead sea bream, seabass, sole from Trasmallo) or tasty seafood (Padrón de Huelva prawns, king prawns from Sanlúcar, etc.)

Our guests can savour numerous dishes, including magnificent hors d'oeuvres such as batter-fried asparagus in almond sauce or mushrooms stuffed with creamy bechamel and Jabugo ham in safron sauce. These are just a few of the delicious dishes we offer our guests.


Activities

Whenever you visit a place with as many possibilities as those available in the Doņana area, you can enjoy a wide range of leisure activities which will make your stay more enjoyable. Details are provided below:

Horse riding:
Cortijo de Los Mimbrales has its own horse facilities. You do not have to leave the estate to enjoy beautiful landscapes and winding paths because the manor is situated in the very heart of nature. You can enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of the more than 300,000 orange trees growing on our estate, and stroll through the luxuriant pine forests surrounding the manor.

 Hiking:
Our country manor offers guests all types of advice (including hiking guides and/or material) so that they can enjoy all parts of Doņana.

 Cycling, Mountain-Biking:
We recommend hiring one of our bicycles and taking a route around the whole estate. This is a healthy and enjoyable way of discovering all parts of the estate and its natural setting.

 Balloon rides:
Take a balloon ride and enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the whole district, the Doņana National Park and Nature Reserve and our coastline. And cap off a wonderful morning by savouring a hearty breakfast at the Salón del Meloncillo café.

  Parque Golf Course:
The Dunas de Doņana golf course is situated 11 km from the estate, and is the only ecological golf course in the province of Huelva. Its 18 holes span from the Matalascaņas coastline to the Doņana National Park.

  Parque Doñana National Park: As is to be expected, our most important attraction is the Doņana Nature Reserve, with countless routes and viewpoints from where you can watch more than 300 species of migratory birds and more than 33 species of mammals such as fallow deer, stag deer, rabbits, "meloncillos" (kind of moongoose or common otter), etc.

Doñana National Park
Whenever you visit a place with as much to offer as Doñana, there is alwayss time to enjoy a wide range of leisure activities that will make your stay even more enjoyable. These activities include the following:

The DOÑANA NATIONAL PARK AND NATURE RESERVE covers a protected area of more than 100,000 hectares, which is considered to be the most valuable protected area in Europe.

This ecological haven is home to an huge variety of environmental treasures such as pine forests, living sand dunes, fossils, beaches, marshlands and reserves, home to many fauna and plantlife species.

The park is home to a total of 300 different bird species and 33 mammal species, such as the fallow deer, stag deer, "meloncillo" (kind of common otter or mongoose), otter and rabbit..., 12 species of fish and 18 reptile species. These mammals and birds include famous endangered species such as the Iberian lynx and the Imperial Eagle. For these species, the park offers a refuge where they can survive.

Doñana was declared a Nature Reserve by the Regional Government of Andalusia in 1989 and extends along almost the entire border of the Nature Reserve, from its edges to the district of Doñana. Apart from absorbing the impact on Doñana, the conditions of the Nature Reserve are perfect for ensuring the natural and cultural conservation and public use of the area.

Ecological crops have been planted in the area bordering the Doņana National Park and within the Cortijo de Los Mimbrales country estate, and this area has also be partially reforested with autochthonous species such as strawberry trees and wild olive trees, to respect the authenticity of the place as much as possible.

Other parts of the estate have more than 10 different varieties of orange and mandarin orange trees and a vast supply of citrus fruits that are used to produce fruit juices.
